SUMMER READING CLUB KICK-OFF PARTY
Tuesday, June 30th 7-8:30pm
Come and start the summer off right here at the library. We will have Guitar Hero, American Idol Karaoke, Twilight Bingo and many other games to choose from at our SRC Kick-Off Party. We will also have raffles, prizes, crafts and snacks! The first 30 teens to sign up for the SRC will get a prize. As a member you will read books, write reviews of the books you have read, and submit them for a chance to win the weekly raffle. When you sign up for the Summer Reading Club you will get a chance to guess how many gumballs are in the jar at the library. Guess correctly and you win the candy! Join us for another great summer of reading, programs, prizes and fun! Sign up for the Young Adult Summer Reading Club and Express Yourself! Open to all North Bellmore Library patrons entering grades 6-12

Of course-you can join the Young Adult SRC up until August 10th. You can also join online through our website if that is easier. There is an "Express Yourself" image at the top of our home page. If you click on that, it will take you to the SRC webpage. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

A MODERN CLASSIS READING SUGGESTION:
NYPL's list of 100 most important books of the 20th Century contains this modern classic which most Americans haven't heard of, let alone read: Commonly known as The Good Soldier Svejk its full title is The Fateful Adventures of the Good Soldier Švejk During the World War. It is the most famous, beloved and reviled Czech book.
