LIT - MOVIE NIGHT
Join us for a special screening of Disney's Beauty and the Beast at the JJ Bellmore Playhouse at 525 Bedford Avenue on Friday, March 24th at 4pm. Author Jen Calonita will be there before the show to chat about her latest entry in the Fairy Tale Reform School Series, Tricked. Books will be available for purchase. This free event is hosted by the N. Bellmore, Bellmore, Merrick, and North Merrick Libraries. This is a drop off event only. Space is limited. Please register beginning March 1st at www.northbellmorelibrary.org.

Do you like to play chess? Want to learn how to play? Our chess club will meet on Tuesdays, March 7th and 21st, and April 4th & 18th. Sign up any night the club meets.Congratulations to our winners, and all those that participated in the Chess Tournament on Sunday, February 12, 2017.

BBQ Chicken Pizza
Wednesday, March 8th 7-8pm
Join Ms. Kathy make a delicious treat! We will chop and prepare all the ingredients for the homemade BBQ pizza sauce. Make pizza dough from scratch and add all the ingredients. Please register in advance. Space is limited. Open to grades 5 and up.          

Irish Soda Bread for Charity
Wednesday, March 15th 7-8pm
Join Ms. Kathy to make Irish Soda Bread loaves to donate to those in need. All participants will receive a community service certificate. Open to grades 5 and up. This class may contain food allergens.

Lunch Bags & Placemats for meals on Wheels
Monday, March 20th 3:30-4:30pm
Join Mrs. T to thoughtfully decorate placemats and lunch bags for Meals on Wheels recipients. It will be a lovely extra and hopefully spread a little sunshine. All participants will receive a community service certificate. Open to grades 5 and up.

SMILES FOR SOLDIERS
Monday, March 27th 3:30-4:30pm
Nearly 20% of service members in Iraq and Afghanistan experience stress, depression, and/or anxiety. We will make and send thank you cards to deployed soldiers to let them know we appreciate their service.  All participants will receive a community service certificate. Open to grades 5 and up.

Teen Movie: A Monster Calls
Wednesday, March 29th 6:30pm
Join us for a viewing of this fantasy drama, based on the novel by Frank Ness. A young boy befriends a wise tree monster while coping with bullying and the terminal illness of his mother. He uses his imagination and friendship with the monster to escape reality. Bring your tissues. Rated PG-13.No registration required.
