September 2018

Welcome Back Students!

We are here to help with any school projects or research papers. Visit us at our home page www.northbellmorelibrary.org for access to many databases with valuable information and support for your schoolwork, available in the library and from home. Students who have not yet read the required summer reading book, can still come in to find the books in the YA section. If the book is not on the shelf, a Librarian can request that a copy be brought into the library.

BANNED BOOK WEEK
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. It highlights the value of free and open access to information and brings together the entire book community in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular. Banned Books Week 2018 will be held September 23 29. The 2018 theme, “Banning Books Silences Stories,” is a reminder that everyone needs to speak out against the tide of censorship.  To honor Banned Books Week we will have a contest! Stop by our temporary location to guess which banned book has been shredded and put on display. Every correct guess will be entered to win a raffle. The winner will be announced October 1st. To get more information about banned books week or to see a list of banned and challenged books, check www.bannedbooksweek.org.
